Sufi Books and Stories
with Tropic of Freedom Books

Sufi Books and stories have nothing to do with making a meal with raw fish. A Sufi mystic is referred to as someone who has achieved God realization or the inner, mystical dimension. The Sufi movement is universal in nature, and seeks to find divine love and knowledge through the direct personal experience of God.
Sufi Saints Teach through Stories
One of the most powerful teaching techniques of the Sufi mystics is stories and poetry. It is said that a Sufi saint or master will gather all his students and apprentices together once a year and he will tell them a story. If any of the students hear the same story they heard the year before then the Sufi mystic will tell the student to go away and come back the next year and listen to the story again. Why?
Sufi Mystics Never Tell the Same Story
The information that Sufi poetry and literature brings forward requires intuition in order to receive that illumination to which reason has no access. The only reason for you hearing the same story is that you have not grown or changed! All stories and books change in their meaning as we change and grow ourselves. This is especially true with Sufi stories.
The following list of books, along with questions to ponder, are there for all who are humble and vulnerable enough to realise that they are growing and changing all the time.
Enjoy!
