The Bible Code

The Bible Code written by reporter Michael Drosnin, is a sensational account of his life changing experiences, when he discovered the bible code and its hidden messages. The messages are reported to be hidden in the Torah. It can be deciphered by entering the passages into a graph on the computer. The letters are then counted by a program and the messages are located.

Alien Conspiracy

Like word puzzles the messages are written vertical, horizontal, forwards, backwards, skipped letters and even at a sidewards angle. It resembles the format of a word search puzzle. Drosnin admits that this is not something to be taken at face value, because he does not know exactly where this code comes from. However, he makes a few suggestions. One of which is that the code could have been written by extraterrestrial intelligence.

None Dare Call it Conspiracy

Michael’s book is based on a technique discovered and described by Professor Eliyahu Rips. The Bible Code is an ancient art that makes numerous predictions on earthday events, events from history and post-diction; such as proof that Lee Harvey Oswald was destined to assassinate John F. Kennedy; as well as assassinations and earthday events to come.

This book made me think of the movie ‘Knowing’. The character that is played by Nicolas Cage discovers a code. This code lays out the dates of all the tragic events from history that have occurred, right up until its end. The paradox is that by trying to prevent these events, Nicolas’ character maintains his focus only on that which ends up keeping him there. He does not transcend the event itself in order to discover the true meaning.
