The children find themselves almost ending relationships and friendships under the influence of dark magic.

Once the first two Horcruxes are destroyed, it is discovered that the final Horcrux lies within Hogwarts school of magic. The children set out for Hogwarts, where they will have the final confrontation. After finding and destroying the final Horcrux, Harry discovers there is but one last Horcrux, and there is only one way to destroy it. No one knows about this final Horcrux, not even Lord Voldemort. The discovery of this Horcrux and its destruction, is what leads to the end of Lord Voldemort.
