Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is book four in the Harry Potter series, written by author J.K. Rowling. The book begins with Harry having one of those the types of dreams that feels very real. The dream is about the ex-caretaker of the Riddle mansion, being murdered. Shortly afterwards a clue to the meaning of the dream is revealed when Harry goes with Hermione and the Weasley’s to the Quidditch World Cup.

At the Quidditch World Cup, Death Eaters, servants of Lord Voldemort; cause havoc among the tents and release the Dark Mark. This mark is the sign of the Dark Wizard. After the strange events at the Quidditch World Cup, the children return to Hogwarts school of magic to discover that the Tri-wizard Tournament will be held at Hogwarts. Students from three schools will participate and the winner will be awarded Eternal Glory.

After the three champions have been announced, Harry is mysteriously chosen to compete in this masters tournament as well. Because the Goblet of Fire has chosen Harry, he has been entered into a magical binding contract, and has no choice but to compete. As the fun and games begin, Harry must once again have courage under fire.
