The Plains of Passage

By Jean M. Auel

the plains of passage

The Plains of Passage by Jean M Auel, is book 4 of the Earth’s Children series. The Plains of Passage begins shortly after Alya and Jondalar leave the Mamutoi to return to his homeland. This book adventure describes Jondalar and Ayla’s journey home.

The Longest Journey

On this journey home, the couple rest at various camps and meet many people. At some camps they are welcomed with open arms, and at others they have wild adventures and are nearly killed. At other camps they don’t get to meet any people because they run away before the couple can meet them.

Life Changing Experiences

The meeting of the various people, the exchange of people skills, their attitudes and beliefs, as well as how they respond to Ayla’s beautiful soul, form an essential part of this story. The impact that Ayla’s charismatic leadership has on each person she comes into contact with, assists in creating changes that heal.

For the Tropic of Freedom Books Finders Keepers:
Our attitudes and beliefs create our paradigms. They form, the basis of what we create in our reality. If it weren’t for the people who have come along in history, that have helped us to shift those attitudes and beliefs, we would never have evolved.

This book is an illustration on shifting paradigms. By demonstrating who she has become, through the experiences she has had in her life, Ayla has an impact on the lives of others. At every camp, a healing takes place. Each situation is different but the impact is the same. Ayla demonstrates something different within each situation. It is this demonstration that has an impact and opens the space for a healing to take place.

What does Ayla demonstrate in each situation?
What attitudes and beliefs has Ayla accumulated as a result of what she has learned in her life?
How does what she demonstrate, show the person she has become?

It is important to remember:
Who we allow ourselves to become, has an impact on everyone and everything around us. Whether it is a positive or a negative impact. The impact is there.

How are your attitudes and beliefs having an impact on your world?
How are you demonstrating who you are?
What does this reveal about the person you have allowed yourself to become?
