Bookworm Adventures

Rowling has written five classic short stories in this book. Each of which has a very valuable message. After each story you will find comments written by Professor Dumblebore, giving his perspective on the importance or magic symbols in each of the fairy tales.

The Absolute Value of Children Stories

What I like about The Tales of Beedle the Bard, is that, these stories have a completely different level of teaching strategies within these fantasy stories. These classic short stories with valuable lessons in life. The value lies within the characters and their experiences. The choices they make and what is revealed by the content of and intention behind their choices.

For the Tropic of Freedom Finders Keepers:
Not many people may realise this, but children's stories are really tools used to teach. A lot of the stories told to children have very clear messages of one sort or another. More often than not they are focused on evil witches casting spells on princesses that end up needing to be saved by handsome princes.

What kind of message do you think that is sending to our children of today? How much chauvinism are we promoting by teaching our little girls and boys about princesses and princes, and the roles they play within their own lives?

Think back to your childhood, which fairytale sticks out for you the most? Now, look at your life, be completely honest with yourself. How much of your choices, decisions and expectations are in line with the children's stories you were told?

If you had been told stories like the ones within The Tales of Beedle the Bard, how different would your view of life be?
