A World Between the Blue Version
by Norman Spinrad

A World Between by Norman Spinrad is a superb piece of science fiction that dines to confront the narcissism of technocracy and the bald social chauvinism of modern humanity. The synopsis on the back cover of the book says it is a book about human sexuality and politics in the far future, well we might not have human settlements all over the universe, but the male / female chauvinism and media politics are already here.
A Pre-able to Sucking, F@#king and Terrene Pornocracy
A World Between can be seen in many ways as a prophecy of the chauvinism of the modern world. A World Between accurately shows the emergence of the female chauvinist pigs, the Femocrats, as a retaliation to the male chauvinism that we are all so aware of; a chauvinism that is now perpetrated by men as much as it is by their darling mothers. Media is the battle ground for supremacy in terms of not only ideologies politic, but practices sexual and knowledge technological. This is not just the usual chauvinism at the cocktail bar, this is raunchy over the top sexual harrassment through mass media.
Frankelstein’s Monster: Knowledge or Monster
The Transcedental Scientists and their obsession with an almost Aryan Male supremacy and its manifesto of a new human universe through scientific discovery is all around us as members of the 22 century. Though Spinrad exposes this race for knowledge in his book for what it really is: It is Technology for technologies sake, technology for domination. Not to mention their use of the media porn bomb forced sex movies that are used to subvert and convolute the gentle balance that has been created on Pacifica between men and women. This is something that although on the surface has been eradicated on modern day Earth, it is still an undercurrent of males being the dominant intellectuals glued to the screens of subterranean science labs dividing their time equally between ground breaking new experiments and the consumption of heavy duty porno from the wiz-kids sex chair. Fairly close to home what?
Femocracy, Buckocide and Castration
No Less accurate and disturbing for us modern-day Terrenes is the emergence of the Femocracy. Heavy duty feminists indoctrinated with the goal of turning all modern men into nothing more than necessary breeding tools. Of course their hot pursuit of Transcendental Science’s cloning technology would mean their ability to totally do away with the male body. No more males, just fellow lesbian feminists.
Polarized Yet United
Stuck in middle of this war of overt male / female chauvinism we discover the tender and delicate balance of the peoples of Pacifica lead by Carlotta Madigan and Royce Lindbald. Pacifica finds itself in the middle of, what Spinrad calls, The Pink and Blue war because they are the media hub of humanity. At first Madigan and Lindbald find themselves sucked in, like all the people of Pacifica, by the masculine chauvinism perpetrated by both the Transcendental Scientists and the Femocrats. But eventually the come to their senses, they realize the gentle balance of their own game of love is as much under threat as is the equilibrium of their entire planet. As the leaders of Pacifica the put their heads together and through the manipulation of media they attempt to over throw the rapid chauvinism of the Pink and Blue War. For the Tropic of Freedom Finders Keepers: It is said that if the pure feminine energy or the Goddess energy were to be told that she was the equal of the masculine principle or the God, She would turn and laugh at such a preposterous idea. Are you aware that most feminists are actually chauvinised to the masculine energy? A World Between deals also with one of the most powerful truths that all masters know: All women on some level hate all men, and all men on some level are terrified of all women. Something to think about Take sometime to ponder on that one. Remember you cannot overcome a challenge without being aware of that challenge. For more clarity on what this all means read the book, observe how each character relates to their sexuality, gender and relationships with the opposite sex.
